Volvo is expanding
in the region
The Volvo Group’s new foundry in Skövde
Volvo group is investing 3 billion SEK in to their new foundry. A step towards a more sustainable manufacturing technology with reduced consumption of finite materials. The Skövde factory will also play a role as the group ramps up the serial production of battery packs.
New battery factory
To meet the growing demand for electric heavy trucks and machinery, the Volvo Group has initiated the process to establish a factory for large-scale serial production of battery cells in Sweden.

What’s so great
about Skövde?
Skövde has over 380 sports and cultural associations, ranging from elite teams in handball and soccer to culture school with courses in music, film and music production and game programming.
1 hour by train to Gothenburg and 2 hours by train to Stockholm.
Here you are close to nature, culture and activities, and if you have half an hour to spare, you can easily take a mountain bike ride on the mountain Billingen or a lap on the ski track during the winter.
